Intro.

Ever since WWE brought back the 1980’s concept that is Saturday Nights Main Event, it could easily be met as a mixed-bag with fans, on one-hand, you’ve got the Cody vs Kevin Storyline, and Punk Winning the WWE Heavyweight Championship, however in life if I get something that I like, i’m going to have to eat something that I hate, so on the other-hand, we’ve had awful counter programming, and a retirement that was creatively flawed fans have gave more dislikes than likes on WWE’s Youtube comments section, the big question is this. Was this version that took place on a Sunday Night worth it.

Superstar Arrivals.

Baron Corbin. Team Blair. Team Jade. Oba Femi, and. Bron Breakker were all seen showing up to the arena. Ok Guys who wants an Arby’s. Theory’s steak nuggets did look nice.

Quavo Performance. Lil Yachty vs Baron Corbin.

Look everyone It’s Quavo, and he’s performing. Look this wasn’t Hardy at the Royal Rumble, or Kid Rock at Wrestlemania 25, but, yeah those camera angles were jaring. This bled into the first Match ( is it that ) Baron Corbin 5 minute survival challenge. If Lil Yachty can survive 5 minutes with big bad Baron, then Trick Williams would receive a shot at his United States Championship. This was a lot of fun. Yachty survived, and Trick Williams got his shot. This followed on imidiately, and was better than what I thought it would be. This was a shenigans fun ride. Trick shot his shot, and is now a two time WWE United States Champion.

Oba Femi vs Bron Breakker.

When this got announced after this years Summerslam, I was excited to see this Match, and how it would play out. Both men have come up through the newer NXT system, and this was used as an advert for how new talent should be booked. I’ve really enjoyed both mens booking of late, and this was a fresh look at how the future is looking within WWE. The physicality allowed the story to take shape, and breathe. Even though the Match got thrown out due to a returning Bronson Reed wrecking Oba, this is still something that excites me.

Team Blair vs Team Cargill.

This did nothing for me. It was a TV Match taking place on a TV PPV staple. Team Jade got the win, and if i’m being honest i’m more of a pigeon not a scrub.

The Miz And Joe Tessatore Segment.

Am I the only person who thinks that after The Miz’s in-ring career is done he would be great on WWE Commentary, I mean his back and forth with Joe Tessatore for a WWE Commentary team wasn’t bad.

Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton.

With Cody taking the home advantage coming from Atlanta were this show was broadcast from, you could say that randy had an asterix against his name, and you would be right. This Match for a minor PPV billed TV encounter was a decent over delivery that worked. From Cody’s family having a nice old time. Randy getting busted open, both men fighting around the inner part of the arena, and Randy getting the win hitting Cody with an RKO from out of nowhere after Cody hesitated to pull the trigger. This bit of detail surrounding Cody’s potential heel turn is very exciting. Cody and Punks heel turns are the most exciting things about WWE at this minute in time, because were all waiting to see what they look like.

Overview Of WWE SNME.

I’m going to be honest I didn’t have high hopes for this show going into it, due to the fact that WWE have now ruined this concept, but this was an enjoyable watch, that had me feeling very entertained.

This edition of WWE SNME gets a solid 7/10.
