Intro.

As a lifelong fan of Professional Wrestling for nearly over 30 years. I’ve been blessed with any great memories, from watching PPV’s with my friends, meeting Pro Wrestlers, and attending large scale shows. This past weekend I attended AEW All In, and to say that I had a great time is an understatement. I’m nearly welling up just talking about this show. So was it any good, well lets get into it.

Pre-show.

I know what a lot of you are going to say AEW’s pre-show is called the zero hour, and if i’m being honest, this name is a bit lame, so i’m going to do this my way. I arrived in the stadium just after doors because I had just left the Hustle and Wrestletalk show at the boxpark, and I wanted to buy some merch before heading into the stadium. Before I got to my seat I ended buying even more merch, because I saw a Kenny Omega T Shirt that looked mint, and I ended buying two large bottles of Pepsi Max. I saw The Hurt Syndicate lose to QT Marshall, and those legends The Costco Guys. And then came one of my favourite moments of the weekend. Persephone is our new TBS Champion after beating Maya World, thanks to a headed woman, that turned out to be a returning Britt Baker. Britt has been a subject of contention within the Pro Wrestling, due to her past actions involving Thunder Rosa, and her rumoured fall out with Jamie Hayter. Britt took has taken nearly two years away from AEW, with fans speculating around creative, and issues with the head booker Tony Khan. I for one am pleased to see her back, as the Rebel special nears around the corner.

Trios Battle Royal AEW Trios Championship.

Most fans had this down as a suprise, but in my opinion as someone who was inside the stadium. I knew what was going to happen. I’m not the biggest fan of these type of Matches, so having two on one card did feel a bit repetitive, however i’m happy to be wrong. This was a storythread laced match, complete with a shock that has a lot of promise. We had our teams. The Dogs. Hangman Adam Page, and Brodido. The Conglomeration. The Deathriders. The Bang Bang Gang, and. The Demand, and as the time went on, the Pre-show went into the main show, and we still had one more time, and as the timer ran out, we got our last time. Swerve Strickland, and The New Level, the former New Day In WWE. We’ve got new Tag Team Champs, and there on a new level.

Divine Dominion vs The Brawling Birds AEW Womens Tag Team Championship.

This Match did make sense. But it did nothing for me. I like Divine Dominion, and. The Brawling, but the chemistry between both teams was completely off. We’ve got new AEW Womens Tag Team Champions, and they like pints. All hail The Brawling Birds.

AEW Continental Challenge Cup Final Jon Moxley vs Nigel Mcguinness.

This tournament has been one of the best things on AEW tv of late, and even though the end was a bit predictable, this was one of the best Matches on the entire card. It can be said that Jon Moxley has been one of AEW’s best Wrestlers over the past seven years, and Nigel is a known bristish standout. Their chemistry was excellent, and this helped the story breathe, however as British fans, were used to being upset. Jon got the win and retained his belt. Jon walked out of the stadium, and left through the exit that was on the lower level of were I was sitting, whilst Nigel was left in the ring for what might be the last time, and if that’s the case. Then going out this way was quite fitting.

AEW International Championship Konosuke Takeshista vs Kyle Fletcher vs Kazuchika Okada.

I loved this. It was one of my Matches of the night. The stories within the Match, the raging fire kick outs were both incredible stuff, and the big bro vs little bro vibe, just made this special. I could’ve done with 10 more minutes of this. Okada got the win, and is our new AEW International Champion.

Casino Gauntlet Battle Royal AEW No1 Contenders Match.

Andrade El Idolo, beat. MJF. Nick Wayne. Speedball Mike Bailey. Tommaso Ciampa. Chris Jericho. Mark Davis. Kommander. Mistico. Daniel Garcia, and. JungleBoy Jack Perry to become the No1 Contender to who wins the main event. This was a story joyride based, that when I watched live in the stadium. I thought this looked a bit disjointed, but upon a second viewing, It was alright, and as for Justin Roberts getting his words wrong. It happens, and he’s only human.

Cope And Cage vs The Young Bucks AEW World Tag Team Championship.

In the build to AEW All In, this was built as a Dream Match, and my question is this. Did it Match up to it’s build? Well if i’m being honest. Yes/no. My reasons for is quite simple. I loved how the opening package did the job to tell the story, and the introduction videos set the tone for what we know. This was a generational Match, that I never thought I would see, however this felt like it took a while to get going, and in the area were I was in the stadium, it felt a bit flat, however it did manage to pick itself up. From Cope accidentally sphering Cage. Matt Jackson having a slippery doo dah moment on the ropes, and Nick Jackson being made to eat some ass. Cope and cage got the win after a great series of exchanges. Then out came. The Motorcity Machine Gunns. Ftr, and. The New Level joined them in the ring, as the chants of holys+++ rang out throughout the stadium. These five teams were in the same ring together was a true moment.

Kevin Knight vs Darby Allin Falls Count Anywhere Match AEW TNT Championship.

This was crazy. I’m convinced that Darby Allin hasn’t got a back, and this Match is proof. Kevin taking Darby out over the announcers table. Kevin Knight having his knees plastered over a bed of steelchairs. Stings son Steve Bourdan help Darby out when the Don Callis Family attacked Darby, this led hands getting tied, and a Metallic return. Sting came out to help his son, and wanted to take out Brian cage and Jake Doyle, but Steve said, no dad i’ve got this, and leaped off the top off a ladder taking out these fools. Darby and Kevin thought on the stage, and then it happened Darby Allin gave Kevin a coffin drop from the top of the staging, and putting Kevin through the stage, and as the ambulance medics were about get him to safety, Darby performed another coffin drop from off the stage onto the gurney, and giving him the pin, and a new belt.

Mercedes Mone vs Willow Nightingale AEW Womens Championship.

From Boob cannons. Broken noses. Solid Physicality, and exposed turnbuckles. This Match was excellent. This was one of my Matches of the night. This was the start of seeing the bigger spectacle. When AEW get Matches like this right, then they’re heavily defying moments. I liked the story that unfolded in front of my eyes. Mercedes got the win after making Willow pass from the Mone maker.

Will Osperay vs Kenny Omega AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

Don’t cry. Don’t raise an eye, it’s only teenage wasteland, were the words that ran through my mind, as will Osperays mum talked candidly about her sons rise to the top, made me think about my life, and this is the power of Pro Wrestling. It has the ability to make you think and feel in a different medium, as to what a film or tv show does. One of my favourite films is A Clockwork Orange, and it’s for the same reason, and if I had to liken this Match to this film I would, because it was gratifying storytelling being served up to the masses, and it was glourious. FromWills history standing by his side, to his wife Alex Windsor sending him off, as Jon Moxley passed him the torch on the way to entrance point. The flare and pyro from both mens entrances made things palpable, and then it was on. As both men laid there movesets bare to the world, by kicking out of one winged angels, and styles clashes, you could tell that something special was coming, and after 25 minutes of incredible action, Will hit Kenny with a Hidden Blade for the win. Both men shared a moment in the ring as the PPV went off the air. I witnessed this Match whilst having an out of body experience, because this Match is by far the best Pro Wrestling Match that I’ve ever witnessed in person, and as the pyro went off into the Wembley night, the tears rolled down my face. This is life people, so drink it in.

AEW All In 2026 is 10/10.
