Intro.

If y love Kenny Omega, and Will Osperay, then you’re going to love this review. I love this time of year, because if you’re a Pro Wrestling fan from here in the UK, then you’ll know that next week is AEW All In Week. When I was a lot younger, I used to get this feeling about going to the Reading Festival to see my favourite bands, but over the last few years that Festival has become more of a pop festival than it is a Rock festival. I’ve been looking for something new to go to over that weekend. AEW has more than filled the void that Reading left in my life, so as you can imagine how i’m feeling. Let’s f’n go.

Will Osperay. Francesco Akira, and. Henarae vs The Don Callis Family.

I liked this. Will Osperay has great chemistry with anyone who Tony Khan puts him in the ring with, and this Match was evidence of that. The Matches within the Match were solid, and helped the proceedings breathe. Rocky Romero vs Will Osperay. Brian Cage vs Henarae, and. Lance Archer vs Akira Francesco were booked fantastically in the woven story-beats. Will got the win after Rocky Romero thought that he had scored the winning goal at the Emirates, only for it to be disallowed by VAR. This was great stuff.

Kazuchika Okada Segment Bleeds Into Kyle Fletcher Promo.

If Solo Sikoa is the banter king in WWE, then Kazuchika Okada has to be it in AEW. His patter last night was awesome, as he put over his hatred for Konosuke Takeshista. This bled into Kyle Fletchers Promo segment with Tony Schiavone. This was perfect for Kyle, as put over the themes of Okada knowing his role, and his hatred for Takeshista. Konosuke Takeshista then returned, and then went through Kyle, delivering two raging fires, and as Kyle laid on the canvas Takeshista stood tall with the belt, as Okada was nowhere to be seen. I loved this.

Kenny Omega and Will Osperay Sit Down With Renee Paquette.

What do you get if you add the themes of history, covid times, difficulties, respect, past Matches, passion, and family loyalty? If you’re answer was one of the best segments that AEW have ever committed to putting Dynamite, then you would be correct. This was nothing short of fantastic stuff from both men. I urge you to go out of your way and watch this segment. Incredible stuff. For my money this is one of the best segments ever on Dynamite. AEW have committed some excellent segments to it’s Dynamite broadcasts over the years, and this is one of the best in my opinion.

AEW TBS Championship Maya World vs Persephone vs kris Statlander vs Hikaru Shida.

I’m going to be a man of few words when talking about this Match, because this 4 way dance was great. Maya retained. I liked this.

The Brawling Birds Want A Fight.

The Brawling Birds want a fight at Wembley Stadium. Divine Dominion, you’ve been warned. This is going to be one of the crowning moments at AEW All In.

AEW Continental Cup Challenge Jay White vs Jon Moxley.

This was a hard hitting affair that resembled physical warfare being served up to the masses in the arena, and watching at home. I could sit here and talk about this Match move by move, but it wouldn’t do it any justice. Mox got the win, and in the aftermath The Dogs attacked Jay White, and we saw a returning Gabe Kidd. The Conglomeration tried to make the save, but they were met by. The New Trios Champions Hangman Adam Page and. Brodido. Only before Hangman could talk, The Demand came out, and i’m going to be honest I could’ve done without this. Hangman Adam Page said that if anyone wants to fight for the Trios Championships, then they can meet them under the Wembley arch. Swerve Strickland said that he knows a couple of people that might join him. Now I wonder who, who, who, who, who they could be. The Match was great, however the aftermath went on for far too long.

Jonathan Cruz Gets Mugged.

Agh yes Jonathan Cruz, the man that MJF likes to humiliate. He insulted fans in spanish, and then made things worse by threatening Andrade El idolo. This brought on an impromptu Match, as Andrade stormed out. He said a few naughty words, and called out MJF. This the part of the segment that plagued with technical difficulties, and it did take me away from what was going on. Max then showed in a sent in message from his mansion in a nice swimming pool. I liked this. Next week in Glasgow is going to be interesting.

Willow Nightingale And Mercedes Mone Split Screen Segment.

I liked this. some fans have said online that the early stages of this felt clunky. I’m going to be honest I didn’t notice anything wrong. This was a fantastic segment, and a great way to get me hyped for there AEW womens Championship Match at All In. The fight from the back, all the way to it’s security pull apart at the end. I liked this.

Nigel Mcguinness vs Hechicero AEW Continental Challenge Cup.

For my money, I liked both of the Continental Challenge Cup Matches, however this one was the lesser best of the two Matches. Nigel acted like the standard heel as he worked over Hechiceros head. This came about after Hechicero tried to work over Nigels keyfabe ankle injury. This Match managed to keep me interested, especially in the final sequences. Nigel got the win, and advances to the semi finals next week in Glasgow.

Kevin Knight Disrespects Darby Allin.

Tony Schiavone tried to interview Our AEW TNT Champion, but he tolod Tony to leave his ring, and he then called out Darby Allin. Darby got to the stage, and Kevin told him to stay there, and prove that he has no weapons. darby looked to the left in confusion, and then all the pyro went off. Darby was seen to be dazed and confused. This allowed Kevin to take advantage of decking him. He gave Darby a coast to coast with a chair around his neck. Darby was taken out on a stretcher with Stings son by his side. Darby was put in an ambulance as Kevin Knight played the role of the wind up merchant. This reminded me of Austin and Brets build for there Wrestlemania 13 classic. Darby did give Jeff Hardy 2009 vibes.

El Clon. Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle vs The Elite.

As the fans chanted the words Be Elite Be Be Elite, the only words that went through my mind were the words Carry On My wayward Son. This Match was excellent. From Osperay having words with Kenny Omega. the Matches within the Match making sense. Kenny Omega facing El clon was a treat, and so was Mark Davis vs Nick Jackson. Davis took the pin when Kenny \omega hit him with a one winged angel for the win, and then it all kicked off. The Don Callis Family attacked The Elite, Cage and Cope made the save, only for Christian Cage to get accidentally superkicked in the face, and as the carnage had calmed down. Will Osperay emerged. He and Kenny had a fantastic minor promo dual, that became the centre piece of kenny’s hate as he brought up Wills 7 year old son. Will went after Kenny, but Kenny got the better of him, as he put Will through a table with a one winged angel as the show went off the air. All of this excellent.

Overview Of This Weeks AEW Dynamite.

This was a fantastic piece of weekly TV. The in-ring work was awesome, as the promos stole the show. So far according to Wrestletix on X. AEW All In is currently standing at 40.000 tickets sold for Wembley Stadium, and next week is going to be very telling if AEW is going to have a last minute surge of ticket sales, and if next week show in Glasgow is as strong as this, then AEW could be onto a winner.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is 9/10.
