Intro.
So What Do You Tanna Talk About. Well I want I want to talk about being ill. Over the past few days I’ve exactly felt myself, this is due to suffering from a summer flu, which means that I’ve had to push things, this means that my review of WWE Friday Night Smackdown has been pushed back to this morning. Right now it’s nearly lunchtime on a Monday morning. I was due to have it out on Sunday evening, but due to not feeling very well, I’m now writing this up before I head out to do my weekly food shop. The Life of a content creator people. All jokes aside I had to do this, and if you guys have been with me since my Blogger days, then you will know that I don’t make these decisions with ease, because my health is more imprtant than any Pro Wrestling show.
Super Arrivals.
Trick Williams. Baron Corbin. Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill and her crew, Michin, and Bfab were all seen turning up to work, to varying results.
Cody Rhodes Segment.
Over the few weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown has been the better show out the main roster offerings, as The Blue Brand since going back to 2 hours feels like it’s been given a fresh start, and a new outlook when it comes to storytelling. This segment was the effect of two story’s colliding to make one. Cody Rhodes opened the show, and straight away called out Cm Punk. This segment was awesome, as i dealt with the themes of paranoia, and mistrust. This part ended with Cody walikng out after Punk said that he knew nothing about Randy Ortons return at Summerslam, this led to punk saying that if Cody wants a rematch, then he will be up for it. Enter stage left Kevin Owens, a man who returned from a nasty neck injury that kept him sidelined for nearly 18 months. This part of the segment continued WWE’s attempt at doing the spinning plate circus trick, and when they get it right, they get it right, and this was no exception. It dealt with theme of sociopathology, and jealousy, and I loved it. Fantastic work from all involved.
Trick Williams vs Baron Corbin WWE United States Championship.
I didn’t like this. The Match very rinse and repeat from what we saw at WWE Summerslam, and this one was no better. Baron reained, and then later on got decked by Carmelo Hayes. The pair will Match up next week.
Sami Zayn’s Complaining.
Everyone is starting to get sick Of Sami Zayns complaining. Punk doesn’t care. Kevin Owens seems bored by it, and don’t even get me started on that comatose Johny Gargano.
Chelsea Green Is WWE Womens Championship.
I’m still waiting for Chelsea to become unbearable, and it’s no going to happen anytime soon. Chelsea thanked the fans, and then brought out Tiffany Stratton, and before she could get a word out. The dolsic tones of Fatal Influence statred to sound nails down a chopping board. WWE have booked Fatal Influence really well since they debuted on the main roster, because you want to see them get there arse’s kicked. The promo was centred around an impromtu Match, that actually worked. Chelsea and Tiffany got the win, and this was for the WWE Womens Tag Team Championships. I liked this.
Brock Lesnar Hype Video.
I’m sick Of WWE showing this. I have no interest in Watching, and celebrating a man who was mentioned 44 times in a sex trafficking lawsuit, especially whilst the case is still on going, and shows no sign of slowing down.
Charlotte Flair vs Jade Cargill.
This did nothing for me. The Match felt flat, predictable, and stale. Charloote got the win, oh and Hello Tatum Paxley. I didn’t like this.
Overview Of WWE Friday Night Smackdown.
I enjoyed watching this weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown. The in ring work felt a bit more crisp from what we got on Monday Night, and the storylines remained focussed.
This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a solid 7/10.
