AEW Redemption Breakdown My Thoughts

KAEW Dynamite Beach Break Review. Best Dynamite Of The Year.

Words By Patrick O’malley.

My Apologies.

Ok guys I’m having to do this. Throughout this week I’ve not been very well and it’s caused me to push a few things. Starting with this weeks AEW Dynamite. You guys know that I hate having to do this, but when it comes to my health, then that has to come first. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. So on with the review, and Viva La Mexico. Because Mexico is were the best wrestle.

Intro.

As AEW continues it’s run towards wembley Stadium, they took a trip South America and said Viva La Mexico. Mexico City is known as one of the spiritual home of Pro Wrestling. Mexican Pro Wrestling has seeped into thew mainstream of North American Pro Wrestling over the past 30 years, as major promotions like WWE. WCW. TNA, and. AEW having taken advantage of this part of the world market. Bringing in talent from all over the world is a vital order when it comes to having diversity on your roster. AEW have utilised this when making the trip to Mexico. AEW have proved yet again, that this is Were The Best Wrestle.

Cope And Cage And The Young Bucks vs The Deathriders

The fans In Mexico were fire from the start of this Match. This is one of those Party Matches that AEW do well. Adam Copeland looked genuinely stunned as the fans sang back his intro theme. Adam has openly said in past interviews that this is his last full -time contract, so taking in these fans in other countries, and communities must be very special. The Match played on the bubbling storyline of how can The Young Bucks and Cope And Cage Coexist. This played out into the physicality. THe fans were electric throughout the Match, and kept on going throughout the show. The Deathriders got the win by cheating.

Tomasso Ciampa vs Komander vs Andrade El Idolo No1 place In AEW Casino Battle Royal Match At AEW All In Wembley.

This was fantastic. I loved the chemistry between all three men, and the moments that carried the violence were also great. From Andrade having a meeting with a stiff barricade. Komander going airbourne. Ciampa giving a female fan a ball shot. The Match was brought into focus thanks to athe speed that it ran at from start to finish. Andrade got the win, it what a fantastic Match. However it’s the aftermath that most are talking about as MJF came back, and attacked Andrade. Max returned and went straight to business complaining, and whining. He brought how Will Osperay had screwed him over, and the fact that he should be in the main event of AEW All In. Next week he will be entering the Qualifier to take the second place. I loved all of this because it’s the perfect example of Tony Khans spinning plate booking trick works. This was excellent.

The Brawling Birds And willow Nightingale vs Divine Dominion And Mercedes Mone.

This Match moved at a slick pace, and this was quite refreshing to see, in comparison to how AEW Normally books it’s womens division. The Match was a clever booked look at how the AEW should handle it’s womens business. Mercedes and Willow had a great tease for title Match at Wembley. Jamie Hayter hit a superb looking crossbody, taking out the heels. And Willow rolling up Mercedes for the win, could be an insight into how there title Match at All In could go. I liked this. It was then confirmed that The Brawling Birds will face Divine Dominion for the Womens Tag Team Belts at All In Wembley.

Speedball Mike Bailey vs Kyle Fletcher AEW International Championship.

With the consideration that all particiapnts tonight were competing 7.000 miles above sea level, talent could be excused tfor showing fatique. This Match was wrestled without an ounce of fat wasted, because both men worked with the conditions that were around them. This made for magic when both Kyle and Mike utilised there surroundings, using the stage, and ring area. Both pulled form there bag of tricks in order to create there art. AEW fans have a phrase called this is Pro Wrestling, and that’s what this was Pro Wrestling. Kyle retained in what was an excellent Match.

Kazuchika Okada. Hechicero And Kevin Hart vs Chris Jericho. Darby Allin And Mistico.

This was another excellent Match that came straight after it’s predicessor. I liked how the Match managed to intergrate storylines into the proceedings, and also the fact Kevin Knight clearly hates skateboards. The Match was won By Jericho and Co with a double pin and submission, when darby hit Knight with a coffin drop, and Jericho put Mistico in a crossface.

Kris Statlander vs Persephone.

I don’t like sounding over critical, but this wasn’t very good, and If i’m being honest it felt like an oversized misfire. Statlander got the win, oh and hello Thunder Rosa. Am I the only person who’s going to Miss Thunder Rosa on Busted Open Radio. I really don’t like this Radio WWE idea. It’s only aim is diminish AEW’s reach. I hate this type of counter corportisation.

AEW Trisos Championship The Demand vs Hangman Adam Page And Brodido.

This was when the fans started to sound tired from I what noticed, and it started to bleed into the Match quality. Normally AEW Trios Matches are something to look forward to, but this was a botch filled misfire that didn’t work. Hangman And Brodido are our new AEW Trios Champions. This looks like the direction that AEW are taking Hangman going into it’s biggest show of the year. This wasn’t for me.

Will Osperay vs Mark Davis Mexico City Street Fight.

I’ve seen a lot complaints about this Match online, so i’m going to break it down the best way that I know how to. I’ve complained how the standard day Street fight has lost its edge over the years. Case and point this weeks main event from Monday Night Raw, however were WWE’s blueprint has become old, AEW have made this there own, and are catering to those who like violence from a bygone era. Some would that it’s careless to do that, whilst others like myself think it’s important to keep this due to needing a flavour of varity. Will and Mark used there history as the benchmark for this bloodsoaked showstopper. This came complete with chair spots. Barbwire spots, and awesome usage of the stage to elevvate the physicality. Will got the win with a hidden blade. This was a great way to take the show off the air.

Overview Of AEW Grandslam Mexico.

I can understand that a 3 hour Pro Wrestling show can feel like a drain, but AEW have managed to make this feel like a nice summer breaze. The in ring work went from solid to awesome, and With Wembley on the horizon, it’s important that AEW keep moving with this excellent momentum.

AEW Grandslam Mexico 2026 Is a solid 8/10.
