Intro.

As a person who grew up learning Karate as a martial arts form. I gathered an understanding for how to treat others. This would be something that I would hold dear as a 39 year old man. The figures that I used to look up to from an ambitious point of view, are the figures who’ve got the worst attributes when it comes to human decentcy. This isn’t a hit piece, not by a long-shot. This piece is aimed to take a look at how controversy has morphed into one of the worlds most contentious brands over the space of three years. I’ve always been fascinated by how industries grow within the world of combat sport, so i’m looking forward to diving into this topic.

The Start.

In 2016 reports started to generate within the MMA Media that the UFC could be up for sale, this had been a hot topic for a few years at this point, because back in the Summer of 2011 the company had reported superior financial growth before UFC 132. Talks surrounding a potential sale would get ignored by by Dana White, as the sports media speculation was a rife in the early part of the year. 2015 was a stellar year for the Las Vegas promotion, as profits grew. This meant that the conversation around a sale would start again. In the mid stage of that year the Reebok deal came into fruition, this means that the deals that the UFC had already in place were going to be made null and void, so the deal with Tapout would come to an end. When deals like this get turned over it normally points to something surrounding a bigger picture.

In 2001 Zuffa bought the UFC from Bob Myerwitz, after a dispute over Tito Ortiz’s contract brought up just how did the fledgling promotions finances were. From this point the Fratita Brothers were on a steady track, that would have a financial downfall, only for it to rise again. Enter stage left Dana White. Many fighters have split opinions on the man who’s the face of the UFC from a booking standpoint, from his ability to hype fights, all the way down to his controversial business morals. White has been the UFC’s president for the best part of 25 years. His love for selling fights is infectious, and believable. However his rise is also highly controversial, from letting fighters go in non amicable circumstances. The Reebok deal. That TMZ incident. Being voted in 2015 the cringest man in sports, to his outright denial of mental health. The UFC has been a good appointment for Endeavour from a financial standpoint, but when it comes to Whites Controversies. I get the feeling that this business feels mutual, and that White is his own man, who has got his own i’m the boss stance. Dana White has grown to be a powerful man in the world of Combats sports, so what does this mean when it comes to the higher archy? It’s known that White is friends with Donald Trump, so this could be at play if Ari Emmanuel wants to stop down one day. Do I think that White will take over personally know, because his controversies would stand in the way.

HHH.

To start writing about HHH you’ve got to back to 1995 when hew made his WWF/WWE Debut, this was a time when Ari Emmanuel was starting to become a force in Hollywood, as a super agent to the stars like Mark Goldberg. HHH’s stance with TKO has only come around over the past two years, because he was only a year into his run as WWE COO. Fans have treated HHH’s booking with tinted glasses, from the good to the bad. The good being the return of Cm Punk, his stand on long running storytelling. The rise of The Bloodline, to Cody Rhodes finishing his story. However when you big beneath the surface HHH isn’t a perfect person, his booking has taken a slight slump in recent years since the WWE has moved to Netflix, his ability to talk to the media comes across as tone def, and his past controversies still got spoken about in shoot interviews. HHH is a controversial, and well respected figure in the world of Pro Wrestling. Since the TKO merger, prices have gone up, and as the creative slump has become even more evident. Do I think the criticisms are warranted, well if i’m honest, no. The price hykes, and WWE stars leaving aren’t always his issue, due to the fact that he’s only following orders. No one should ever levy for someone to lose there job, and I don’t think that HHH is either these days, but fans should take in that HHH is a puppet for a larger picture. Donald Trump, and. Ari Emmanuel. Dana White might be friends with Donald Trump, however HHH is fully onboard with his administration as his head childrens health. This is a controversial move considering evrything that comes with Donald Trump in 2026.

Is TKO Right Wing?

To end this article off I’m going to leave you with this question. Is TKO Right Wing? This something that I’ve wondered for sometime. This goes back to the early 1980’s when Wrestlemania took place in Trump Plaza. This could continue over the years as Vince Mcmahon relationship with Donald would continue over the decades. Vince would focus race as part of his twisted brand of storytelling. In the early 2000’s Endeavour would repressent the company, which is how Dwayne The Rock Johnson would get cast in films in this period. If you take a look at TKO and the UFC in our year of 2026, you can’t argue it. The UFC has become the political nonsensory of the fight world, and to some fans it’s difficult to take them seriously. Ari Emmanuel might not be a political person, but it is interesting seeing someone who leads one of his products host President Trump, a man who has a litiny of controversies against his name, from the mistreatment of women, and being brought up in the Epstein Files. It’s difficult to draw the line, and if I want to make it in this world then I can’t ignore the overall rise of a controversial juggernaut.
