Ok guys if you’ve followed me since my google blogger days, you guys will know I hate having to take time off, but I had to this week, this meant that I’ve had to cancel my review of this weeks AEW Dynamite, and push back my piece that i’ve got planned looking at the UFC’s relationship with Donald Trump. This is why I have not written anything about UFC Freedom 250, because so much has come about it in the following weeks, I will be taking a look at the event, but once I’ve gathered all my thoughts on the event. This show happened at a time when I was taking time off. However the reason why I had to cancel this weeks AEW Dynamite is very simple. I went downstairs early on Thursday morning to get a drink, and I noticed that my Wifi was down, and it would stay down for over 24/hours. So once again my appologies.
Sami Zayn WWE Undisputed Championship Celebration.
I liked this segment, however it raises questions, that I don’t think WWE can answer. Sami Zayn came out with as the new WWE UIndisputed Champion. The last good guy was draped in Gold, you love to see it. He spoke from the heart, as he thanked fans, and scolded those who doubted him. I liked this part, because it felt organic, and natural as Sami spoke from a place that felt real. This brought one of the men that he beat last week out. Cody Rhodes, and with Cody, you always know the question that is on his mind, but Sami beat him to it, when he asked what do you want to talk about. Cody wanted to repay sami a debt of gratitude by congratulating him, the same way that Sami did for him when he finished the story at WrestleMania 40. But Sami wasn’t buying it, this was when Jey Uso yeeted his way to the ring, and said that he’s here to bring the belt back to the family, and just like that Cody set him down a peg and reminded Jey that he’s not an eron boy for The Tribal Chief. It was clear that both men want a shot at Sami’s belt. Adam Rodney Dangerfield Pearce stepped out on the stage and told Sami that tonight the winner of Jey Uso vs Cody Rhodes will face him for his newly won belt on Monday Night Raw in Chicago this Monday. This is the problem that I’ve got with this segment. On Monday it was reported by multiple Pro Wrestling news outlets that Sami might be a transitional champion, and this can be damaging from a creative aspect, because it could leave sami out in the wilderness, this is a form of booking that HHH’s father in law used to do for years, to varying results. And it almost never worked. Take Chris Jericho for example.
Charlotte Flair. Chelsea Green And Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill Michin And Bfab.
This came from a prior segment, that made me laugh because it was so ridiculous, and i’m starting to like the pairing of Chelsea Green, and Tiffany Stratton. The Match played out in a way that I didn’t think it would, because in keyfabe this looked like it wouldn’t work, however I was proven wrong because this Match worked, and functioned well as all six ladies were able to get there work in, this meant that every lady but in good performances, but it was Chelsea who stole the Match, and put in a great showing for herself. Jade got the win when she planted Chelsea with her Jaded edge finisher, this Match made its 12 minute run time fly by.
Comatose Johny Gargano.
Sami Zayn met a comatose Johny Gargano, and at this point i’m starting to think one thing at this minute when it comes to Johny. What is a Johny Gargano in our year of 2026?
Rey Fenix vs El Hijo Del Vikingo AAA Cruiserweight Championship.
In April of last year over WrestleMania 41 we got the news that WWE had purchased AAA in their latest attempt to counteract AEW’s working relationships within the South American market, this meant that it would be a matter of time before we saw a different flavour on WWE weekly tv, fast forward nearly 15 months, and were being treated to matches like this. I liked all of this. The physicality between these two just oozed of the canvas, as their chemistry allowed the Match to have time to breathe. Fenix retained his belt. Give me more of this please WWE.
Jacob Fatu Segment.
Jacob Fatu, and Big Jim Uso were met backstage by Royce Keys, who was wondering what has happened to his former friend.
Giulia And Kiana James Get Wrecked By Blake Monroe.
I’m so happy to see Blake Monroe on the main roster in WWE. I loved her as Marieh May in AEW, so her decking Giulia, and Kiana James was great to see.
Trick Williams Segment.
This segment was a nice reminder of a a dull time in NXT history. I like the chememistry between Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williams so next week is going to be good.
Danhausen segmennt
I’m starting to think that danhausen is a grifter. I do think what he’s doing with The Miz is funny.
Brie Bella vs Laney Reed.
If you want to watch a throw away tv Match, then look no further because was the very definition of that. Laney got the win, because my god there was a lot of chaos and shenanigans thrown into this Match wasn’t there. This wasn’t for me.
Hotdog Eating Contest
Truth And Priest were having a hotdog eating contest against Axiom, and they won, this angered The Viking Raiders. Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate. We don’t celebrate it over here in the UK, but it does look awesome.
Jey Uso vs Cody Rhodes.
Given the talent involved, this Match did nothing for me. And it’s not the fault of the Performers. This Match is one of the main problems with 2 hour broadcasts, both men had two work with hard time restrictions, and given the fact by the moment both men had made there entrances they only had 10 minutes to work with, this meant that the Match had to be tight and snug, and it wasn’t, it felt rushed, and way too overpaced. Cody got the win, and will now face Sami Zayn on Monday Night Raw this coming week. I’ve got a bad feeling that the good feeling surrounding Sami at the moment isn’t going to last. I can feel the internet starting to burn already.

I’ve got to be honest, was this broadcast worth my time, well yes. I enjoyed this show within of itself. However it did come with it’s own issues. The good feeling surrounding Sami Zayn is going to come to an end, and the midcard when it comes to the womens division needs some work, but ov
