Intro.

AEW’s relationship with UK fans has been something to be marvelled at, when it comes to how they’ve dug into the psyche of the UK, after it had rocked to its core for disgusting reasons in 2020. The deal with ITV, and Triller TV in the Company’s early days was seen as a positive due to not being put all the way behind a paywall. The following years as it comes to UK reception has been nothing short of positive for Tony Khans promotion, as the viewership has grown, and the wider Pro Wrestling world has taken shape, and noticed. This is very important for any Conpany’s growth, especially in this Pro Wrestling landscape.

Will Osperay ShopAEW Ad.

AEW Dynamite opened up with Will Osperay doing an advert for ShopAEW. They now ship from the UK, and you know what this is a good thing, because now I won’t have to pay extortionate shipping costs. Thanks Will, cheers mate.

Will Osperay Segment.

I loved this. Will was absolute fire last night, and the Glaswegian fans lapped it up. From his hard-times coming up in the scene, from travel to work commitments, and putting over the old school UK greats that helped shape him to be the Pro Wrestler that he is today. He gave Kenny Omega a stark warning, whilst the fans him the Mexican wave chant. The Billy Goat is on his way to Wembley.

Jon Moxley vs Claudio Castagnoli Continental Cup Challenge Semi-final.

This was a stiff battle that worked on all fronts. This was Deathrider vs Deathrider, and it was a fantastic look at Pro Wrestlers can utilise ground skills. This Match acted like a Technical affair, that told a great story. Jon got the win by Bulldog choke, and advanced to the final this Sunday, and I’m going to be seeing this live.

Adam Copeland And The Young Bucks vs The Don Callis Family.

If you like Party Matches then this worked. The Matches within the Match. Like Rocky Romero vs Matt Jackson. Jake Doyle vs Nick Jackson, and. Adam Copeland vs Brian cage, all blended together to make a good Party Match. Copeland got the pin on Rocky Romero for the win. The aftermath saw everyones dad Christian Cage come out to conduct his business. This was great as both teams promo dual dealt with the theme of a hierarchy pissing contest. This was great viewing, and Cope And Cage getting even with The Young Bucks, was a nice touch going into this Sundays Tag Team Championship Match. Which I will be seeing in person.

Willow Nightingale Segment.

In the words of Wayne Campbell, we got a Willow Nightingale Segment, but she got decked my Mercedes Mone, oh yes she got Decked by Mercedes. This is another Match that I can’t wait to see in person.

Andrade El Idolo Segment.

Andrade El Idolo then came out, only it wasn’t Andrade El Idolo, it was Maxwell Jacob Freeman MJF. This was by far one of the best segments of the night. Max insulted the Scottish fans, whilst taking shots at how hideous all the ladies look in Scotland, and if you were that kid that stick your bird to Max, then fairplay. Max siad that he was going to win the Casino Gauntlet Match, with a question. Which was answered by Andrade. How You Know. He attacked Max from behind to end the segment. This was awesome.

Chris Jericho Is Entering The Casino Gauntlet Match.

Chris Jericho is now in the Casino Gauntlet Match. I predict Wembley Stadiums bars are going to be very busy when he comes out. Note to self have a pint at the boxpark beforehand Patrick it’s going to save you a lot of bother.

Kyle O’reilly vs Nigel Mcguinness AEW Continental Cup Challenge.

This by far the Match of the night, and by far the biggest talking point coming off the back of the broadcast. I liked this. Kyle has come in on short notice after it was confirmed that Eddie Kingston wasn’t medically cleared to compete so Kyle came in at the last minute. This was fantastic, and a true physical masterclass. Nigel is on his way to Wembley to face Jon Moxley. This is yet another Match that I can’t wait to see live in person.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

This was great. Don Callis started off as Kyles mouthpiece, that was until Kazuchika Okada stepped in to the frame, and I got to say it. This has made me love Okada more, and I’ve now got a thing for Cardigans, or shirts that look like Cardigans. Okada vs Fletcher vs Takeshista at AEW All In Wembley Is another Match that i’m looking forward to be seeing in person.

Persephone And Divine Dominion vs The Brawling Birds And Maya World.

I’m going to be honest this needed more time to breathe. Persephone got the win for her team from cheating. This did nothing for me.

Swerve Strickland vs Jack Perry.

This didn’t feel like a main event, now don’t get me wrong, this Match was good, but as a body of work, It just didn’t work for me. Swerve got the win.

Osperay vs Omega Video Package.

When AEW do video packages, no one does then better. This was fundementally flawless. From being soundtracked by Bad Omens, to leaving me with that overrall feeling of I can’t wait for the weekend. Job Done AEW. It’s onwards and upwards to Wembley Stadium, and as you can tell, this is another Mattch that i’m looking to be seeing live in person.

Overview Of This Weeks AEW Dynamite.

Let this be said that I love British Pro Wrestling fans, whenever big promotions come over to our shores, we show up, and we show the world how it’s done. You Glaswegian fans last night showed what a real Pro Wrestling crowd does, and this added to the show that has got me hypeped for this weekend.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 8/10.
