Intro.

Over the past few weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown has become a bit more breazier to watch since moving back down to two hours. I like this, as it allows for storylines to be able to breathe in the way they should. This makes working on articles like this a lot easier, because if you want to make a career out Pro Wrestling content creation, then show lengths are very important. With Storylines being able to flow, this means talent like Cm Punk. Kevin Owens. Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes can work there programs, because they can intertwine together. Variety is key, and this is something that WWE need to try and deliver.

Intro.

Cm Punk And Kevin Owens Arrivals.

Cm Punk and Kevin Owens were seen showing to the arena. This would be an episode longthread, that would lead up to the main event later on.

Sami Zayn. Cody Rhodes, and. Randy Orton Segment.

Sami Zayn was backstage acting like a crybaby, towards Nick Aldis, acting like the world is against him, when a familiar voice could be heard from behind. It was Randy Orton, and he seemed unimpressed, and it was at this point. Cody Rhodes could be heard calling him out. Randy then emerged from the backstage area, and the proceeded to have a promo dual with Cody. They every beat that I thought they would, so this really do a lot for me. Nick Aldis also didn’t like this by the sounds of things, so he ordered both men to leave each other alone, and if they can’t play nice, then neither of will ever get another shot at the WWE Undisputed Championship.

MFT’s vs Priest And Truth WWE Tag Team Championships.

Even though this Match was predictable, I had one thought that ran through my mind, and it’s this. How come Wade Barrett, and Joe Tessatore aren’t terrified of Haku who’s only metres away from them? These men have balls of steel. MFT’s retained. Haku has one hell of a fruity mouth. His language was bleeped out from the Netflix international reruns.

Chelsea Green. Tiffany Stratton, and. Page Segment.

Chelsea Green. Tiffany Stratton, and Page vs Fatal Influence is A Match that WWE are clearly trying to push, and you know what I get it.

Is Blake Monroe WWE’s Answer To Timeless Toni Storm?

Like the title says. Is Blake Monroe WWE’s answer to AEW’s Timeless Toni Storm just watered down? Because i’m really getting that type of vibe about her. Her Match against Giulia ended before it had even began, because she attacked to the point that the ref didn’t know what to do. I like Blake Monroe, but I prefered her as Marieh May in AEW.

Tatum Paxley Segment.

I can relate to Tatum Paxley ( in a strange way ) , because like my brother used to tell me. You’ve got to be crazy if you like bands like linkin Park. A Day To Remember, and. Slipknot. Tatum is all of types of crazy that resembles my friendship group. Team Blair stood up for her, when Jade Cargill stepped into frame.

What A Mess.

It’s No secret that i’m not a big fan of WWE’s direction with Baron Corbin, and this feud with trick Williams just needs to end. I didn’t like this segment. I get the feeling that i’ve seen this before. Baron Corbin vs Lil Yachty at Sunday NME, oh boy. Strap yourselves in guys/girls, because things are going to get bumpy.

Gunther. Finn Balor, and. Kevin Owens Segment.

I think this is HHH’s answer to the spinning plate booking trick, and i’m here for it. Having Gunther. Finn Balor, and Kevin Owns interact is a good way to start up future Matches/storylines. I liked this.

Tiffany Stratton vs lash Legend.

This Match did nothing for me. It was slow, clunky, and if i’m being honest. If you asked me about this Match in six months I would say that I don’t remember it. Nia Jax beat down Tiffany, leaving Chelsea green to make the save.

Cm Punk vs Kevin Owens WWE Undisputed Championship.

This was a shoot filled hate ride that has been over twenty years in the making, being served up to the masses with animosity, and cold vitriol. This felt real, and highly volatile from the start, I could feel it through my tv, and that’s important when watching any tv show, because it should make you feel your own feelings, when WWE get that right, then there TV shows become unmissable. Cm Punk vs Kevin Owens was WWE’s answer to must see tv, and it was great, from the physicality, the near falls, to Sami Zayn snapping and hittting Kevin Owens with the Championship to screw him was the ice cream treat on a hot day, just perfect. Punk retained off the back of this, he then gave Cm Punk a clonk with the belt as the show went off the air.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is the definition of mixed bag of Pick’n mix, eat what you like, and leave what you don’t.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a low 5/10 ( I loved the main event though)
