WWE Monday Night Raw Breakdown.
Intro.
I’m just going to say it. I love it when WWE Friday Night Smackdown goes down to 2 hours. The shows overall presentation seems to have had some fresh air go through its production, and it’s mainly due to the fact that a 2 hour broadcast chews the fat a lot more easier. This how WWE condense down the nonsense, and can focus on main storytelling. This is what I want from my WWE Broadcast, and if i’m saying this, then I cam imagine that others are thinking the same.
Superstars Arrivals.
Cm Punk. Kevin Owens. Baron Corbin. Carmelo Hayes. Tiffany Stratton, and. Fatal Influence, were all seen showing up to work.
This Is The Best way To Start WWE Friday Night Smackdown.
Nick Aldis came out, and at this point I’ve got to admit I had no idea what was going to happen. He asked Chelsea Green to come out, and at that moment I thought oh no, because this didn’t look good. In reality Chelsea suffered a broken orbital bone last week when her and Tiffany Stratton faced Fatal Influence. Chelsea was visibly emotional, and you could tell that this wasn’t keyfabe. Chelsea was shown wearing her heart for everyone to see, and it was awesome. Nick told Chelsea that she has to relinquish her newly won championship, only for him to backtrack when chelsea thought her corner. This was when Gunther strolled out. Both Gunther and Chelsea Green have been two of my favourite things in WWE this year, and this promo was proof of that. Gunther laid in insults to both Nick Aldis, and Chelsea Green. Matt Cardona came out to defend his wife’s honour.
Gunther vs Matt Cardona.
This was an impromptu Match, and it made sense. Gunther dominated Matt in a onesided beatdown. Nia Jax and Lash Legend then tried to bully Chelsea in the aftermath. I liked all of this.
Tatum Paxley Interior Decorator.
I’ve got some advice for Tatum Paxley. You’re a terrible interior decorator, so don’t give up your day job. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss didn’t look pleased.
Carmelo Hayes vs Baron Corbin WWE United States Championship.
I’m not trying to be nasty, because I like Carmelo Hayes, but this Match was awful. Everything from how it was booked, all the way down to its execution. This did nothing for me, and Trick Williams, and Lil Yachty attacking Corbin in the aftermath was painfully pathetic. Corbin retained.
KO And Cm Punk Segment.
From Blurred lines. AEW easter eggs, and teases, and real life heat. This was a perfect 16 minute promo tour de force that was no notes perfect. I loved this. Next week in Toronto. This is going to be good.
Finn Balor vs Gunther Yes Please.
I get why some people may not want this, however I think this could bang, if given the right amount of time to breathe, so with that said. Yes please WWE.
Damien Priest And R Truth vs The War Raiders vs MFT’s WWE Tag Team Championships.
This Match suprised me. It had quite a good flow to it, and this is what I find quite suprising, because WWE Tag Team Championship Matches don’t always have that, however this one did, and it was a nice breath of fresh air. The MFT’s are our new WWE Tag Team, and Haku is there security guard. I feel scared for the WWE Locker room. They’ve been warned. Also I know some people in Newcastle Upon Tyne here in the UK, also were sitting squrming whilst watching this. How are you Adam Wilbourn.
Jacy Jayne vs Tiffany Stratton WWE Womens United States Championship.
This is going to become a catchphrase for me, but this was another Match that suprised me, because this was actually good. Jacy Jayne is clearly still learning some aspects of the game, so the next stage is to see what she can do with a belt around her waist. Both ladies had greaat chemistry, and this Match was a good showcase of that. I’ve got to see it. This is the type of booking that I gravitate towards.
Cody Rhodes vs Sami Zayn.
This Match was thrown out once Randy Orton got involved. This led to a massive arena long g fight between Cody and Randy, with both men threatening to murder one ane another.
Overview Of WWE Friday Night Smackdown.
This was a solid newsworthy episode of weekly TV, that came complete with good in ring action, and Promo work that went from good, to outright sensatitional. WWE Friday Night Smackdown is by far the best WWE show at the minute.
This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a solid 8/10.
