Intro.

Earlier this week I took a look at the ticket sales for AEW All In, and it’s nice to see that things are looking better for the Jacksonville promotion. The promotional gamble that Tony Khan has taken shouldn’t be ignored, if anything it needs to be celebrated. AEW carries the monicker of were the best wrestle, and this is proof of that. Kenny Omega vs Will Osperay is slowly starting to become the draw that I thought it would. I’m going to be attending the AEW fan meet and greet the day before All In, and this is exciting, because I get to meet the fans, and hear what they think of the product. I’m excited for the future of AEW as this Summer so far for the Promotion has been as a successful time for Tony Khan.

Excalibur Makes An On Air Blunder.

Oh Excalibur It’s Redemption this Sunday Not Revolution. It’s live TV People these things do happen. We all make mistakes.

Will Osperay And Kenny Omega Segment.

Will Osperay was in a good mood, calling us all dirty slags, and bigging up Kenny Omega ahead of there trios Match with Jon Moxley later on in the evening. Moxley couldn’t hide his disinterest, and it was hilarious.

Darby Allin vs Kevin Knight AEW TNT Championship. And Brodido vs Protokada.

This was excellent. The Match gave the show the jumpstart that it needed as both men thought in the fans, before the bell had even rung. Darby took out Kevin with a nice looking coast to coast from the top rope to the outside of the ring. Kevin introduced Darby to his own family jewels, as the steele steps got wrecked by Darby’s face, as Kevin planted him into them. The referee Paul Turner took a bump that would start to see the end come closer. Both men had a fantastic series of exchanges including Kevin taking a scorpion deathdrop, and Kevin trying to cheat with a belt shot. Kevin gave Darby a coast to coast followed by a scorpion splash to retain his champion. This was awesome. What came after was the definition of the circus spinning plate booking trick. Kevin Knight had a minor promo dual with Kyle Fletcher setting up a future Match maybe at AEW All In. Mark Davis threatened common assault on Andrade, as Brodido made there entrance. This Match was beyond solid, and it worked on so many levels. I loved the chemistry between both these teams, and this would be fundemental as the physicality drove the main storyline of the Match. The finish is what has now made me think that we could be getting a triple threat Match at AEW All In. Okada accidentally gave Kyle his Rainmaker finisher, this led to Bandido getting the pin over kyle after he gave him a 21 suplex for the win. This was another look at the spinning plate circus trick, what if Kazuchika Okada gets added to the Kyle Fletcher vs Kevin Knight TNT Championship Triple Threat Match that I’ve fantasy booked in my mind. I’ve got to say it. I like how the TNT Title picture scene is looking at the minute.

Chris Jericho Segment.

As some of you might know I’m not the biggest fan of Chris Jericho, for reasons that i can’t talk about online, and his painkiller gimmick is incredibly cringeworthy. Sorry guys it’s his painmaker gimmick. What can I say Judas Priest rule. The Match against Ciampa should be good though.

Thekla Vs Willow Nightingale segment.

I had fun with this, because not only did it have one of my Pro wrestling heroes Mick Foley doing hosting duties, it managed to get the point in a short manor of time. Both ladies dealt with there own themes, Willow was all sunshine and Rainbows, whilst Thekla focussed on doom and darkness. Both ladies had an excellent Promo dual, as Thekla battered Willow to end the segment. I liked this.

Jay White Vs Clark Connors.

This wasn’t for me. I’m not the biggest fans of how The Dogs have been booked in AEW, since coming over from NJPW, and Clark Connors has suffered as a result of this. He’s a better singles guy, than he is in a Tag Team. This Match on paper did have me thinking be still my NJPW loving heart, and then it started. The in ring work felt pedestrian, and predictable, and this was sad, because I’ve been a fan of both men for quite a number of years. Jay got the win, and after a big brawl took place involving The Bang Bang Gang, and the rest of The Dogs. In a recorded segment that aired later on Juice Robinson laid out the challenge for The Dogs to face him and jay White in A Tag Team Collar Match. We then found out that Jay is a big fan of classic Disney, because he wants to make a man out of David Finlay. So with that said Lets get down to business. I love Mulan as well.

Cope And Cage Segment.

In a segment filmed earlier in the day our AEW Tag team Champions Cope and Cage got decked by Claudio Castagnoli, and Pac. These four men will meet this Sunday for the AEW Tag Team Championship at Redemption.

Sisters Of Sin vs Divine Dominion AEW womens Tag Team Championship.

This Match was a solid outing for the ladies. AEW have been guilty of not letting the ladies have enough Match time in the past, however I don’t think that this should be the case with this Match. The table spots were placed in well, as the run time flew by, thanks to the fantastic physicality. The Divine ones retained in what was an excellent match. Oh and My God Skye Blue can blade can’t she.

AEW Dynamite Main Event Jon Moxley. Will Osperay, and Kenny Omega vs Hechicero. Brian cage, and. Jake Doyle. This was sensational stuff from all six men. The Match told a solid can they coexist story, and managed to tease what future Matches will l look like. For example I want to see Jon Moxley vs Kenny Omega at All Out in Chicago, and Moxley vs Osperay would be a good idea for Worlds End. This Match worked to give us fans a glimpse into how the next few months are going to plan out. The physicality became the background noise, and it needed to do just that, because once the story was allowed to breathe, we got the fall out. And it was great to see. Kenny. Will, and Jon got the win with a hidden blade, and V trigger combo. Kevin Knight came out to beat down his Sunday evening opponent, as The Young Bucks attacked Will and Jon. The Young Bucks will face Jon Moxley and Will Osperay this Sunday. This was an awesome way to end what was a excellent broadcast.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This is the AEW that I know and love. The circus plate spinning booking trick was in full effect on this broadcast, and it was great to see. The longterm storytelling is something that is keeping me hooked week in, and week out. AEW is continuing it’s strong run of form, and with Wembley Stadium on the horizon. Things are going very good for Tony Khans little train that can.

This Weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 9/10.
